B+ es el nombre que adoptamos al comenzar a colaborar: José Burlando (Uruguay) y Tamara Burlando (Argentina). Compartimos apellido sin saber si hay una raíz común, pero en el encuentro reconocimos una resonancia. Una coincidencia que no es casual.
Nuestra colaboración no fue puntual: se convirtió en un proceso vivo y continuo. Nuestra intersección se teje —literal y simbólicamente— en torno a la fibra natural, el tejido, la forma tridimensional, el movimiento, la energía y lo sutil.
El trabajo conjunto se construye desde el diálogo, la investigación material, el cruce de saberes y una escucha profunda. Creamos un lenguaje en común, propio, que evoluciona con cada proyecto.
B+ no es solo una firma: es un campo compartido de creación, una potencia que se expande desde lo colectivo.
Atarraya
Linea nudo linea, nudo linea nudo.
Conexiones que comunican, que se encuentran, se enredan, se aprietan, se abren.
Tirar la atarraya, es pedir al destino que te traiga comida a la boca.
Que te provea abundancia.
La atarraya junta, pesca, convoca. Recoge todo lo que esta disponible,
y descarta lo que no es.
Es un colador de lo bello, lo vital.
En este caso significa búsqueda, encuentro, conexión profunda.
Ir a buscar conscientemente, no quedarse complaciente, cómodo, en lo conocido.
Tener el impulso y seguirlo. No conocer el camino pero intuirlo, saber que estas caminando en la dirección correcta.
Hay algo en la atarraya que nos une. Información que llega directa e indirectamente desde nuestro árbol.
El padre de Jose es pescador, su arte es la atarraya.
Jose ha visto tirar la atarraya toda su vida.
Jose teje con fibras de bambú, crea rizomas que conectan la tierra con el cielo. Son sistemas que sustentan la abundancia, son conectores como la atarraya.
Tamara dibuja y teje atarrayas.
Como las vasijas, los cuencos y las semillas, que recuerda de un pasado.
Hay cierta información que portamos aunque no lo sepamos. Este saber se lleva en las células, en los huesos, en los tejidos, esta con nosotros desde antes de nacer. Se hereda, se trae, y de alguna forma se alimenta, esta para encontrar su cause. Para ser compartido.
Ambos son artistas textiles, tejedores de sus propios sueños, crean puentes que unen mundos, que abrazan lo efímero, lo sutil, lo sensual. Hay un lenguaje común de fibras, de tierra y de raíz. Comparten un mismo apellido. Por eso este encuentro, este festejo, esta atarraya.

B+ is the name we adopted when we began collaborating: José Burlando (Uruguay) and Tamara Burlando (Argentina). We share a surname without knowing if there is a common root, but in our meeting, we recognized a resonance — a convergence that feels far from coincidental.
Our collaboration was never meant to be a one-off; it became a living, ongoing process. Our intersection is woven — both literally and symbolically — through natural fiber, textile work, three-dimensional form, movement, energy, and subtlety.
Our joint practice is built through dialogue, material inquiry, the exchange of knowledge, and deep listening. We have created a shared, unique language that evolves with each project.
B+ is more than a signature; it is a shared field of creation — a generative force that expands through the collective.
Atarraya
Line knot line, knot line knot.
Connections that communicate, that meet, tangle, tighten, and open.
To cast the atarraya is to ask destiny to bring food to your mouth --
To ask for abundance.
The atarraya gathers, fishes, summons.
It collects everything that is available and releases what is not.
It is a sieve for what is vital, for what is beautiful.
In this case, it signifies search, encounter, deep connection.
To go out and seek consciously, not to stay complacent, comfortable, in the familiar.
To follow the impulse. Not knowing the path but sensing it,
Knowing you are walking in the right direction.
There is something in the atarraya that binds us.
Information that arrives directly and indirectly from our ancestral tree.
José’s father is a fisherman — his craft is the atarraya.
José has seen the net cast his whole life.
He weaves with bamboo fibers, creating rhizomes that connect earth and sky.
Structures that sustain abundance — connectors, like the atarraya.
Tamara draws and weaves atarrayas,
Like the vessels, bowls, and seeds she remembers from a past time.
There is knowledge we carry even without knowing it.
Wisdom held in our cells, our bones, our tissues — with us since before we were born.
It is inherited, brought forth, and somehow nourished — waiting to find its course. Waiting to be shared.
Both are textile artists, weavers of their own dreams.
They create bridges between worlds, embracing the ephemeral, the subtle, the sensual.
There is a shared language — of fiber, of earth, of root.
They share the same last name.
And so, this encounter, this celebration, this atarraya.
