Mi sangre, mi red / My blood, my net 2020
Acts of reconnection
This body of work was developed as a way of breaking through a period of stillness and not being productive due to an overseas relocation and family issues that took priority for a while.
Nets and vessels are unconscious themes that emerged during a self-motivated Residency at my studio on our return to Mparntwe.
On our first holiday back in Australia, I came back home 10 days before my family to have time to reconnect with my artistic practice.
